Matt Martin is a basketball player for Doncaster Eagles. He first started using SLT tours when a teacher at a school he was coaching at recommended us. He's been on 2 tours with us, both in Northern Europe.

Jamie is a head coach at the Sheffield Wednesday Football Academy. He thinks that sport tours are a great way for the team to bond and challenge themselves by competing against a different nation.
Milko is a staff member at The Mackay School in Chile. He explains why they choose SLT Tours and why we are better than their previous provider.
Baysgarth Battlefield Tour
Tour: Belgium battlefields tour 3 nights / 4 days
Study / Subject: Brilliant for KS4 History, invaluable first hand experience for GCSE students.
Highlights e.g. hotel, tours, tour guides etc:
The hotel was great, just what we were looking for and suited our needs exactly. The visit to Bruges and the boat tour was excellent with good commentary. The trenches of death really brought to life what living in the trenches was really like. The most memorable moment of the trip was our students laying a poppy wreath at the Menin Gate at Ypres and observing the last post after an afternoon spent at the war graves. Transport to and from Belgium was easy and convenient with helpful and friendly bus drivers and tour guides.
Overall experience & reference to Sport Leisure Travel
We had a great trip with a variety of tours/activities all at a very competitive price. The biggest bonus of booking with Sport Leisure Travel is having an experienced tour guide with you throughout the entire trip to iron out those inevitable little issues that invariabley do occur. Our tour guide Matt was helpful, friendly and approachable, and most importantly had a great rapport with students and staff alike.
We have now booked to take 32 students to Iceland next year.
Tour: Bardonecchia Ski Trip
We have recently returned from an excellent ski trip to Bardonecchia in Italy with Sport Leisure Travel. The trip was for our sixth form students and we took approximately 30 students to stay in the Turin Olympics, Olympic Village which was a real highlight. The food was great all week, accommodation clean and suitable for groups and all in all we had a fabulous time in a very multifunctional hotel. The best part was the hotel was a short walk to the slopes and we had 3 cooked meals a day having a nice rest back at the hotel at lunch time. Sport Leisure Travel organised lots of extra activities for our students so on top of 4 hours of lessons per day the students went Ice Skating, Sledging and an amazing evening trip up the mountain to a lovely café which was a real treat. We hope to book again for next year and would highly recommend Sport Leisure Travel.
Campsmount Technology College
Tour: Football Tour of Italy
Campsmount Academy, Doncaster travelled with Sports Leisure Travel (SLT) to Venice, Italy. This was the schools 10th annual football tour but the first with SLT. We took 42 students ranging from 12-18 years of age. The tour lasted 5 nights and was one of our most successful tours to date.
One big attraction to opting to travel with SLT was their personal touch, regular contact with a designated agent and their flexible and understanding to the schools needs. Whilst researching options for this tour, there were very few companies that sent an agent for that face to face discussion. We had travelled with a well known agent the year before but had encountered a number of issues whilst on tour, but had no agent travelling with us which caused many headaches. SLT could also not be beaten on price which is such an important factor living in the current financial climate. The company also offered flexible payment options when we encountered some unavoidable 'drop-outs' prior to the trip.
SLT were very helpful with providing numerous options when planning the tour and provided a very thorough inspection visit for myself and a colleague prior to the visit to Venice. The company appeared well established in the resort and had many contacts to call upon to create an itinerary and experience to suit our parties needs.
Unfortunately the hotel we had agreed to reside in during the tour became unavailable when were due to travel. SLT provided us with a better alternative than the original, at no extra cost.
Throughout the tour Matthew Rogers (SLT) was on hand to help, support and make the tour as enjoyable as possible. My students really reacted positively to how Matthew engaged in the tour and almost became one of our staff. The company offered gifts, momentos and a trophy to give our students something to remember this experience by.
I would recommend Sports Leisure Travel unreservedly to provide any party a positive and successful experience. My school have since booked with the company to travel to London for a 2 night stay as part of a dance experience and are exploring the possibility of touring to Dubai.

ELC Manchester Academy of English
Tour: Paris and Edinburgh
ELC Manchester Academy of English joined Sport Leisure Travel twice in one month, to Edinburgh & Paris, both for long weekends. On both occasions we took a group of 40 students, aged 13-17, from Panama. It was important for these students to see as much of the UK & Europe as possible, as this would be the only chance that many of them would get to visit this part of the world. The trip was well organised and managed to fit in everything we wanted to do and see within the relatively short time frame we had, including a Spanish all day tour guide which SLT organised to ensure the students did not miss out on any information. Overall, we had a fantastic time with SLT and are already looking into booking future trips with more of our students.
Social Programme Coordinator
Tour: Audriq, France
We recently attended a tour at Audriq in France. The weekend was a brilliant experience for myself and my players. The tour was our seventh but our first on foreign soil and Sports Leisure Travel ensured the weekend was a great success! The weekend was brilliantly organised and went without any challenges! The accommodation was just right and within our budget. Sports Leisure Travel officials were on hand to translate and organise everything. The group had a fantastic time visiting a tropical swimming pool, ten pin bowling, roller disco and a trip to the beach on top of competing in a two day tournament against French and Belgium opposition!
Lee Suter (Manager & Coach), Faversham Strike Force FC, Under 16's.
My name is Stephen Foster and I am the Head of History at Lostock Hall Academy, Preston. In February 2013 myself and 4 of my colleagues took a group of 45 pupils to Krakow, Poland. We also had Matt from Sports Leisure who accompanied us on the trip, which proved to be a great advantage. We set off on Saturday 16th from Preston and travelled down to Luton Airport by coach to fly to Krakow. Both coach and flight were on time and both included in our price by Sports Leisure Travel.
We arrived in Krakow at about 8.30pm and checked into the Atrium Hotel. On the trip to the hotel we were met by a local tour guide called Marta who came with us to the hotel. She also spoke to our party about what to expect and about the places we would be going. This really got our pupils excited for the trip ahead. As we arrived we were welcomed by the staff and our evening meal was ready for us, which pleased kids and staff alike. The food was an excellent 3 course meal which had already been chosen by me prior to our departure. The hotel was nice and quiet also and had a central location which made tours around Krakow much more accessible.
The main reason for our visit was to visit Auschwitz-Birkenau to see how the Jewish race was treated during the Holocaust as all of our pupils were GCSE History students and was very relevant to what they were studying. We also had the opportunity to visit Schindler’s factory, a tour around the Jewish District and around Krakow. We had 2 tour guides around each of these places and both spoke perfect English, this again was organised by Sports Leisure. Each part of the visit was eye opening for all of our pupils. Birkenau especially really hit home to them the conditions which many had to endure during the Holocaust.
All of our excursions, transport, breakfast and evening meals from the hotel were included in our price of £390 per pupil, with 5 staff places for free. This was excellent value and the cheapest the school have paid for this type of trip. Also, having Matt with us throughout made life so much easier for me as group leader. Matt ensured that every meal arrived on time, tickets were ready for each event and also arranged a room for us at the hotel for the kids to relax in. Matt also interacted brilliantly with our pupils and was dedicated to ensuring that our trip went smoothly. Prior to the trip Matt also visited me at school to go through details of the trip and really put my mind at ease.
I would definitely have no hesitation in booking with Sports Leisure again in future and I am in fact in the process of organising another trip to Poland and a ski trip for the following year. Sports Leisure was recommended to me by a friend and they did definitely not disappoint. They helped me organise the most successful trip I have been on at this school.
