  • A Sport Leisure Travel Tour Manager to assist with the tour from start to finish; we want group organisers to enjoy our tours, let us worry about everything else.

  • Executive, air-conditioned coach travel from your local area. Use of coach throughout tour with no supplements for local departures. 

  • Return ferry or Eurotunnel crossings.

  • Agreed accommodation of your choice at your destination subject to availability at time of booking confirmation.

  • All sports fixtures or tournament arrangements. Sports fixtures are booked with agents at continental destinations and are made in good faith. All appropriate kit and footwear are the responsibility of the group and note that the hosting team will have the final say on rules, regulations, time and duration of fixtures. The travelling team are to respect these at all times even if it is not exactly what they desire

  • All pre booking and pre tour advice as required by you.

  • Guaranteed no surcharges subject to booking conditions. 

  • A bespoke tour  – we will tailor the exact tour and itinerary to your requirements at no extra cost



All deposit payments made are non refundable

Effects of changes by you and Cancellation charges 

If changes to your tour are required by you, SLT Tours will do all we can to assist, however, name changes in some instances will attract additional payments. Additionally if as a result of individual cancellations your group numbers drop into a different price bracket the tour price for the remaining members may increase to reflect this in accordance with the sliding scale on the prices provided at quote.

If you wish to cancel your tour, you should give immediate notice in writing to SLT Tours. The following cancellation charges will apply and the final total will be based on the contracted price agreed in the first instance.

Cancellation charges

  • Cancellation > 100 days of the start of the tour 1st and 2nd deposits are charged only as per quote.

  • Cancellation 60-99 days before departure– 50 % of the total cost of the trip will be due

  • Cancellation 30-59 days before departure - 75% of the total cost of the trip will be due

  • Cancellation < 30 days before departure - 100% of the total cost of the trip will be due


Changes by SLT Tours

It is unlikely that your tour destination will be changed, however, there may be circumstances beyond our control.

If a major change becomes necessary you will be informed and if it is possible a different destination with equivalent tour details will be offered. You may accept the change or have the right to cancel without the loss of monies paid. 


Force Majeure - Unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances

Except where otherwise expressly stated in these booking conditions, we regret that SLT Tours cannot accept liability or pay any compensation or other sums where the performance or prompt performance of our contractual obligations is prevented or affected by or you otherwise suffer any  damage  or  loss  as  a  result  of  unavoidable and  extraordinary circumstances. In  these  booking  conditions,  unavoidable  and extraordinary circumstances means a situation which is beyond our control, the consequences of which could not have been avoided even if all reasonable measures had been taken. Such situations are likely to include (whether actual or threatened) war, riot, civil strife, terrorist activity, industrial dispute, natural or nuclear disaster, adverse weather conditions, fire, flood, epidemics and closure or restriction of transport hubs or facilities including, for example, ports, airports, the Channel Tunnel or airspace.

SLT Tours  reserve the right to cancel any tour should it be deemed necessary and return monies paid


Financial Protection 

SLT Tours  comply with the EU directive on package tour and travel regulations 2018 and operate a trust account to safeguard monies paid to us by our customers. This assures that, in the unlikely event of financial failure, your money is protected and will be refunded to you in full by the trustees.

Your final invoice will include a £250 security deposit which will be returned on return. All other damages in excess of the security deposit are at cost to the group not the company.

Booking Conditions

Please note our booking conditions: they are for your protection as well as ours and do not affect your legal rights as a customer. 

SLT tours sets out in these conditions the terms of your contract with us and our obligation to you. At the time of booking you will be sent an invoice to pay a deposit which is variable and is described on your tour proposal details. You should carefully check the invoice for confirmation that the tour details are as agreed to be supplied.

Payment of your deposit invoice confirms the reservation with us and conveys acceptance by you of the booking conditions and contract with SLT Tours. Your second invoice will fall due 10 weeks after the date of the first deposit invoice. All outstanding balance must be paid 10 weeks prior to travel. 

Failure to meet payment deadlines will result in late fees and admin fees being added to the final invoice; this cost is dependent on each individual trip and how late the payments are. This will be a minimum of £20 per passenger but  your overall tour cost is subject to surcharge only in the event of government action. 

SLT Tours  is not responsible for any loss, expense or liability incurred as result of accident, illness or injury during your tour. SLT Tours will act as agents only for transportation and accommodation. SLT Tours act in good faith with respect to these arrangements and cannot be held responsible for any loss, damage or injury however caused. 

It is the customer’s responsibility to pay invoices on time and request invoices for payment with up to date passenger numbers. These payment times are clearly stated on all quotes and are 10 weeks after the initial deposit is received for a second payment and final payments are due 10 weeks before departure, unless clearly stated and agreed on the initial quote. 


Group numbers and free Places

Free places, for school groups only, where applicable and agreed, are based on the stipulated number of places at full price based on a ratio of 1 free place per 10 paying passengers.

It is important that your group be insured for your forthcoming tour and that the insurance includes a cancellation and delay element. Please ensure this is taken out as soon as your first deposit is paid.

No accommodation has been booked as yet and is subject to availability at the time of booking and specific accommodation will only be confirmed after deposits have been paid. 

Accommodation will be provided on a pre agreed board basis of room only, bed and breakfast, half or full board. If agreed to provision of a ‘snack lunch’ this will consist of a simple snack and drink only and will not amount to a full packed lunch. When utilising self catering accommodation breakfast items may be supplied where agreed, directly by SLT Tours for utilisation by the client.

Staff/organisers will be in shared twin or triple rooms of the same gender unless otherwise agreed. Students will be in multi bedded rooms and in some cases twin rooms, but never single rooms. (Single room supplements apply). Room accommodation is based on a full occupancy and any unnecessary under occupancy will therefore attract a supplementary charge. 

Groups are advised to check and make provision to take personal towels with them as depending on the type of accommodation used towels may not always be provided.

If applicable security deposits payable in advance at the accommodation remain the responsibility of the group organiser. 



Executive, air-conditioned coach travel with use of coach throughout the tour. 


UK airport transfers coach transfers, if included, are limited to 100 mile radius from point of departure. Any further may incur an additional cost.


In order to comply with the CAA regulations on inclusive tours by air, all air tours must have flights booked directly with an Airline/ATOL holder. We will make investigations on your behalf and recommend the best flight price. The contract for the flight tickets will be between you and the Airline/ ATOL holder. The contract for ground arrangements in your destination will be the responsibility of SLT tours.


Due to luggage space varying between coach models, we strongly recommend that each passenger  restricts  their  personal  luggage  to  just  one  item,  i.e.  a  small/medium  size  soft  holdall. For  flights, luggage allowances and restrictions (hand and checked) vary between airlines. Details of these can be provided on request.


All internal transfers in destination resort by executive, air-conditioned coach.


Travel Advice

The UK Foreign Office publishes regularly updated travel information on its website  www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice and https://travelaware.campaign.gov.uk/ which you are recommended to consult before booking and in good time before departure.


Location Specific Advice

Please check with your SLT Tours representative about any local requirements. The following list is advisory and not exhaustive.

In the majority of swimming locations in France there are strict regulations as regards swimwear with requirements for ‘speedo’ type swimwear and swim shorts being prohibited. Teaching staff will require the same swimwear to enable poolside supervision. 

Sports equipment will not be provided by SLT Tours unless otherwise agreed beforehand. Training sessions will normally be teacher/group adult led, again unless previously specified.


Passports, Visas and Health requirements

It  is  the  responsibility  of  the  Tour  Leader  to  check  passport  and  visa  requirements  for  your  tour  at the time of booking. Requirements may change and you must check the up to date position in good time before departure.  We will assume that all group members are British citizens with a British passport (or entitlement to apply for one) unless the  Tour Leader advises us otherwise. 

If any group member is not a British citizen or holds a non British passport, the Tour Leader should advise us before  making  your  booking  so  that  we  can  provide  you  with  the  applicable  general advice on passport and visa requirements.

 It is the  Tour Leader’s responsibility to ensure you are aware of all recommended and required vaccinations and health precautions in good time before departure. Details are available from your GP surgery and travel clinics and from the National  Travel Health Network and Centre  www.travelhealthpro.org.uk. Information on health is also available on  www.nhs.uk/live-well/healthy-body/before-you-travel. For holidays in the EU / EEA each group member should have an EHIC (European Health Insurance Card) prior to departure which can be applied for on www.ehic.org.uk.  


Special requests or requirements

If you have any special requests, the  Tour Leader must advise us prior to submitting your booking form. Although we will endeavour to pass any reasonable requests on to the relevant supplier, we regret we cannot guarantee any request will be met unless we have specifically confirmed it. Failure to meet any special request will not be a breach of contract on our part unless  we  have  done  so.  Before you make your booking, we will advise you as to whether the proposed tour arrangements are generally suitable for someone with reduced mobility.  If  any  group  member  suffers  from  reduced  mobility  or  has  any  other  medical  condition  or disability which may affect your tour or any special requirements as a result of reduced mobility or any medical condition or disability, please tell us before you make your booking so that we can provide you with precise information as to the suitability of the arrangements for the person(s) concerned taking into account their needs. 

We are able to accommodate vegetarian dietary requirements but for this and all other dietary needs, including gluten free, vegan and lactose intolerant it should be made clear to the tour company as early as possible what the specific needs are. 

Availability in the UK does not correlate to availability on the european continent and elsewhere where attitudes can differ significantly. Please note therefore that SLT Tours may necessarily need to impose supplements in order  to accommodate these needs in certain countries and at certains establishments.

Supervisory responsibility

The  Tour Manager is in charge of the group logistics only and it  is the responsibility of the Group Leader  for ensuring that the group will be fully and properly supervised at all times and that all instructions and guidance we provide are followed. These supervising adults are responsible for the good behaviour and discipline of the group throughout the tour.  

SLT Tours take no responsibility for the actions of the travelling member’s behaviour and fully support the actions of hoteliers and carriers against those persons whose behaviour may be dangerous or disruptive. This will be treated by SLT Tours as cancellation by you. It is the group organisers responsibility to ensure that all passports and travel documents are in order and that you arrive at the stated points on time. Any loss or damage through failure to do this lies with the group

NB The pastoral responsibility of the children is always with the staff of the school, group or organisation. The tour manager is responsible for the logistics and smooth running of the itinerary. The tour manager is not a tour guide. 



Coronavirus (COVID-19)

SLT Tours will monitor advice and adhere to all recommended safe travelling guidelines provided from official sources.

If the FCO are advising against all but essential travel to your destination and your departure is imminent then we will not be able to operate your planned tour. In the first instance we will look to offer an alternative (either different destination or date) however if you do not wish to accept this then we will have to cancel the tour. 


If SLT Tours cancels your tour you are entitled to and will receive a full refund. 


The refund process may take longer than normal as tour operators will have already made payments for flights, coaching, ferries, accommodation, excursions etc. to suppliers and, like all travel businesses, we are encountering difficulties with recouping cash from our suppliers, many of whom are either temporarily closed or not willing to hand cash back during these worrying economic times. 


If you take the decision to cancel your future trip and there is no Government advice against travel to your destination and your departure is not imminent, then our normal cancellation terms would apply. 


However, we recommend that you contact us first. We may be able to look at postponement options for your trip, or we may be able to recover sufficient costs from our suppliers that we are able to reduce your cancellation charges. Also, if you are a school group you may be able to recoup cancellation fees. 


UK School Groups


In March 2020  the UK Government announced measures to help delay the spread of COVID-19. 


A joint statement from ABTA and the School Travel Forum was released on 13th March. They stated that schools should decide how to react upon this advice and, should they wish to cancel any upcoming trips, then the tour operator’s normal cancellation terms will apply.


They continue to state, “Schools should contact either their own general insurers or the Department for Education as they may have some financial cover in place for this scenario.”
